Abstract
Résumé L’article traite des recompositions multiples des politiques d’équipement au Mexique (privatisation, décentralisation, désectorisation) et observe leur mise en œuvre dans trois régions rurales. Deux grands arguments sont développés : en premier lieu, la décentralisation et la privatisation dans ce secteur ne sont associées ni à un recul de l’équipement en terme physique, ni à un retrait symbolique de l’État. En second lieu, ces réformes ne marquent pas le passage à un modèle unique de service public, car la recomposition de ces services est fortement influencée par les configurations locales des acteurs politiques et économiques, qui reposent elles-mêmes sur différents types de médiation.
