Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The analysis of sensitivity and resolution of geophysical methods is one of the most important problems of practical geophysics. In this paper we develop a novel technique for resolution studies, based on the evaluation of the maximum possible errors in the solution of the inverse problem for the given level of errors in the observed data. We introduce a new characteristic of geophysical inversion, a resolution density, which is determined as the inverse of the upper bounds of the model parameter errors. The method is demonstrated by the resolution study of three-dimensional (3-D) electromagnetic (EM) inversion. The case history includes interpretation of the helicopter-borne EM data collected by INCO Exploration in the Voisey's Bay area of Canada. We believe that this new technique provides a useful tool for the analysis of the accuracy and quality of the geophysical inversion.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
