Abstract
L’internationalisation de la R&D des firmes est considérée aujourd’hui comme une stratégie destinée à accroître leurs connaissances, dans un espace cognitif mondial polarisé. Notre objectif est de définir précisément ce que les firmes vont chercher lorsqu’elles localisent des laboratoires de R&D à l’étranger. Ce qui est intransférable, ce sont les réseaux situés de co-production et de partage de connaissances tacites, que les firmes ne cherchent pas à absorber, mais à pénétrer dans une logique contributive. Il convient alors de fonder les vérifications empiriques non sur des indicateurs de transfert de connaissances, mais sur des indicateurs de participation à ces réseaux.
