L’étude de l’avenir de la sexologie permet de considérer sa nature et ses intentions. Que seront l’objet et les objectifs de la sexologie du futur ? Au sujet de son objet, la sexualité deviendra de plus en plus complexe et conflictuelle. Concernant ses objectifs, la sexologie devra procéder à davantage d’intégration et de médiation. La sexologie devra adopter une approche interdisciplinaire si elle veut comprendre la façon dont les comportements sexuels se construiront et se vivront dans le futur.
