Abstract
Se revisan la Clasificacion Internacional de deficiencias, discapacidades y minusvalias elaborada por la OMS; el proyecto de la universidad de Creteil, que pretende alejarse de las posturas demasiado teoricas y utilizar una lenguaje mas comprensible para las personas no profesionales; y, las propuestas del coloquio de Montreal de enero de 1990, que destaca la importancia de los factores ambientales en concepto de minusvalia. Despues de pasar revista a las clasificaciones, el autor aborda las definiciones de minusvalia es muy amplio y dificil de delimitar, puesto que han repercutido en la elaboracion de la legislacion francesa. Concluye indicando que el concepto de minusvalia es muy amplio y dificil de delimitar, puesto que depende de multiples indicadores, algunos de los cuales son fijos y conocidos, pero hay otros que varian segun los individuos y las situaciones, o bien son dificiles de interpretar, siendo algunos incluso desconocidos.
