Résumé L’objectif de cette recherche est d’étudier le rôle que le statut d’un consommateur - régulier vs occasionnel - peut avoir sur la personnalité de la marque et son influence sur les concepts de confiance et d’engagement cognitif. Les résultats montrent le pouvoir explicatif de la personnalité de la marque sur la confiance envers la marque et sur l’engagement, aussi bien pour les consommateurs réguliers qu’occasionnels. On constate cependant que le statut du consommateur exerce un effet modérateur sur la confiance et l’engagement. Si le profil de personnalité des marques est évalué plus positivement par les consommateurs réguliers, les consommateurs occasionnels attribuent aux marques d’une même catégorie des profils plus différenciés que les consommateurs réguliers.
