Abstract
Les mouvements nationalistes sont souvent associés à une forme de radicalité à cause de demandes indépendantistes et de l’usage de la violence. La cause azerbaïdjanaise en Iran invite à se départir du lien créé entre positionnement idéologique radical et passage à la violence. Il permet de considérer d’autres pratiques dans la radicalisation que le passage à la violence ; celles-ci ont en commun d’instaurer une rupture entre un regroupement volontaire d’individus et le reste de la société. La radicalisation apparaît alors comme une évolution visant à séparer un groupe de l’univers social dans lequel il évolue habituellement par l’adoption d’un projet de subversion de l’ordre politique.
