Abstract
RÉSUMÉ La douleur en direct La perception de la douleur et de la souffrance sont devenus récemment un objet d'étude pour l'anthropologie médicale. À partir d'un récit autobiographique, l'auteure, anthropologue, explore les limites entre l'analyse professionnelle et l'expérience personnelle de la douleur. Le résultat de l'expérience est différent de celui des recherches sur la douleur construites sur les expériences d'autrui. Il est donc proposé que le rôle de l'anthropologue se réduise à la description des pratiques relatives à la gestion de l'analgésie, plutôt que de tenter la description ethnographique des expressions de la douleur.
