Under Québec agroenvironmental conditions, a 2 yr field study was conducted to evaluate the effect of the biostimulant Elorisan-MA on maize (Zea mays L.) plants subjected to different N-fertilization rates. The results show that, at any N-fertilization rate tested, the application of the Elorisan-MA seed coating did not significantly influence any maize yield parameters (grain yields, total shoot biomass and the N, P, K, Ca and Mg contents of the grains) relative to the non-treated seeds. In addition, laboratory tests show that the biostimulant did not significantly influence maize seedling growth. Key words: Biostimulants, Elorisan, maize, N-fertilization
