Abstract
Cet article illustre le processus d’appropriation d’un modèle théorique de prévention du phénomène des gangs de rue par un comité d’action locale associé au projet Jeunesse et gangs de rue. L’analyse des données recueillies suit plus particulièrement les points de divergence que la théorie a soulevés. Elle part de sa promotion, passe par les négociations qu’elle suscite et se termine par les propositions d’un cadre de référence et d’un plan d’action. Les résultats indiquent que le modèle théorique permet non seulement de structurer l’action, mais aussi de positionner les acteurs autour d’un nouveau consensus réduisant les tensions paradigmatiques.
