Abstract
On a examiné les retombées de la restructuration des services de santé sur le quotidien des ergothérapeutes et des physiothérapeutes. Quatre grandes questions sont ressorties: Mauvaise compréhension du cadre de pratique; absence d'une perspective de réadaptation dans le processus décisionnel; absence d'un tracé d'avancement professionnel; et obstacles au maintien et à l'amélioration de la compétence professionnelle. Le présent article décrit les retombées de ces questions sur les soins aux patients et sur l'ensemble du système de santé. Des recommandations sont formulées pour la mise en place d'une structure améliorée dans le cadre d'un paradigme de gestion interdisciplinaire qui assurerait l'utilisation à bon escient des ressources du système de santé.
