Abstract
Faire la vérité — Traduire, c'est toujours, rappelle l'auteur, « faire la vérité » ou, tout au moins, miser « sur la vérité d'un sens stabilisé ». Or l'inconscient résiste à une telle traduction « dévoilante ». C'est le désir de « faire la vérité », expression où deux sens (découvrir, fabriquer) s'opposent, qui est interrogé ici. D'un point de vue psychanalytique, ces deux sens s'excluent moins qu'ils ne s'allient : « ne peut-on fabriquer la vérité, l'imaginer, dans le but de la découvrir? » se demande l'auteur. Entre vérité et fantasme, témoignage et fiction, c'est une telle scène inouïe de traduction qui se joue entre deux textes récents de Hélène Cixous et de Jacques Derrida réunis dans Voiles. Dans cette rencontre textuelle, la fiction-vérité mobilise des effets qui l'apparentent à la scène analytique, l'inconscient a désarmé de part et d'autre, ne fût-ce qu'un instant, et s'est archivé dans des lapsus calami laissant entrevoir que ces textes se traduisent l'un dans l'autre.
