Abstract
Le poème dramatique d’Imre Madách, la Tragédie de l’Homme (1859-1860), occupe une place de première importance dans la littérature dramatique hongroise. Le sort de l’histoire nationale hongroise établit des liens significatifs avec cette oeuvre de Madách, que ce soit relativement aux luttes pour l’indépendance et l’identité nationales ou au rôle prépondérant de la langue et de la culture dans la subsistance de la nation. Au cours du XXe siècle jusqu’au tout début du XXIe siècle, l’histoire des réalisations scéniques de la Tragédie est l’une des plus captivantes de l’histoire du théâtre hongrois.
