Les composites de la famille des SiC/SiC sont sensibles a un phenomene de fatigue, a faible contrainte et aux temperatures intermediaires (500°C – 800°C). Des travaux anterieurs ont mis en evidence la rupture lente des fils SiC Nicalon, lorsqu’ils sont soumis a une charge constante inferieure a leur resistance a la rupture, a des temperatures de 600°C et 700°C. Le processus presente toutes les caracteristiques de la fissuration sous-critique, et il semble active par l’oxydation de la fibre. Cet article etudie la fatigue statique des fils et des monofilaments SiC Hi-Nicalon, aux temperatures de 500°C et 800°C. Les relations entre la duree de vie des monofilaments et celle des fils sont etablies. Des diagrammes SPT (Strength-ProbabilityTime) sont egalement construits. Il est montre que le modele fonde sur la loi de propagation sous-critique d’une fissure permet de decrire de maniere satisfaisante l’evolution de la contrainte a rupture des monofilaments, en fatigue statique a haute temperature. Le modele permet d’anticiper l’influence des caracteristiques des monofilaments.
