Abstract
Cet article présente un ensemble d'indicateurs de rendement mesurant le succès des conseils de santé décentralisés à fournir des services hospitaliers secondaires aux résidants de leurs juridictions. L'étude repose sur l'analyse des données sur les sorties d'hôpital en Nouvelle-Écosse de 1992–1993 à 1999–2000. Bien que la plupart des résidants de Nouvelle-Écosse obtiennent cette catégorie de soins dans leur propre district, de grands écarts ont persisté dans le temps quant à l'engagement des hôpitaux envers les résidants de leur propre district.
