Abstract
La nouvelle économie des ressources perçoit l'allocation marchande comme une solution universelle à la raréfaction des ressources. Les auteurs de ce courant argumentent en faveur de l'instauration systématique de droits de propriété privés pour l'allocation des ressources naturelles renouvelables au motif d'une plus grande efficience des mécanismes marchands. Dès lors, ils utilisent une argumentation à la fois inductive et historiciste. En nous appuyant sur l'argumentaire développé par les auteurs de ce courant dans le domaine de l’eau, notre article tente de démontrer que le point de vue adopté par ces auteurs relève largement d'une posture idéologique.
