Abstract
Livre posthume, à l'état d'inachèvement, Le premier homme d'Albert Camus relève d'une écriture autobiographique : souvenirs d'enfance, récit familial. Mais il s'agit moins d'une reconstitution d'un vécu personnel que d'une écriture fragmentaire par laquelle s'inscrit l'expérience douloureuse de la rupture généalogique. L'écrivain tisse, en fait, une autobiographie plurielle, où s'entremêlent la quête impossible d'une biographie paternelle, le portrait en ombre d'une mère muette, l'actualité et l'histoire coloniale, passages et effacements des peuples en exil sur la terre algérienne. C'est par la langue française en tant que langue hospitalière, à la croisée d'autres langues et d'autres accents, que l'écriture rend à l'Algérie son hétérogénéité des voix. Une écriture nécessairement inachevée et inachevable. Enfin, qui porte bénédictions à cette terre tant aimée.
