Abstract
Le site de l’Âge du Fer et du Moyen Âge de San Felice, situé sur un plateau dominant la rivière Basentello. est à une faible distance du site de l’époque impériale romaine (fouillé actuellement sous la direction de Hans VanderLeest et de Myles McCallum) et à 1,2 km de Vagnari qui fut occupé à l’époque romaine et sous l’Antiquité tardive. Une prospection intensive de notre site révèle la configuration de l’établissement, ses liens culturels, son essor du X e au III e siècles av. J.-C. et son abandon vers l’époque de la fondation de Vagnari. Le site de San Felice fut réoccupé pendant le haut Moyen Âge alors qu’un hameau, construit au-dessus de la partie ouest des niveaux de l’Âge du Fer, fut habité jusqu’au XIV e siècle.
