(Invited) The Interplay of Particle Size and Doping Concentration on the Electronic Structure of Doped Quantum Dots
Bibliographic record
Abstract
We present our efforts towards investigating the effects of copper doping on the electronic structure of CdSe QDs. Both x-ray absorption near edge structure spectroscopy (XANES) and theoretical modeling are used to examine effects of hybridization on the conduction band minimum (CBM) in doped CdSe quantum dots (QDs). Experimentally, Cd M 3 -edge XANES provides evidence for a lowering of the CB minimum for Cu doped CdSe QDs that is dependent on Cu concentration. Theoretical modeling suggests the effects of hybridization between Cu and Cd atoms in the QD can explain our experimental results. The hybridization effect leads to active emissive states below the CBM resulting in tunable near-infrared photoluminescence. Our work shows that a simple chemical model can provide a predictive tool towards probing the effects of hybridization on the CB levels in QDs.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
