Abstract
Résumé Récemment, l’Union européenne a mené le Projet RÉPONSE, une étude sur la responsabilité sociale et du développement durable dans les entreprises internationales. Les résultats distinguent deux formes principales d’engagement des organisations à ces égards. D’abord, une forme d’engagement orientée vers le contrôle et la gestion des risques qui s’avère valable mais qui ne suffit pas pour atteindre l’excellence en matière de développement durable. Ensuite, une forme d’engagement des dirigeants orientée vers la collaboration entre les parties prenantes, qui entraîne de l’apprentissage, de l’innovation et des changements organisationnels fondamentaux. L’article conclut en présentant des étapes pratiques que les dirigeants et les gestionnaires peuvent franchir pour mettre en œuvre une approche collaborative en matière de développement durable.
