RésuméCet article vise à donner un aperçu du travail effectué par les infirmières œuvrant en prévention et promotion de la santé auprès des tout-petits, des enfants et des jeunes en CLSC. Un second objectif implique la présentation d’une synthèse de quatre études récentes de la situation de ces établissements en ce qui a trait à ce secteur d’intervention. Une analyse de quelques enjeux contemporains liés à l’exercice infirmier en prévention-promotion est proposée par la suite. Composante majeure de la pratique des infirmières œuvrant auprès des tout-petits, des enfants et des jeunes en CLSC, la prévention et la promotion de la santé s’avère un secteur d’intervention fragilisé par les nombreux changements ayant touché ces organisations dans le sillon de la réforme. La discussion propose quelques pistes de recherche et d’action en vue de renforcer cet axe majeur de la mission des CLSC.
