Abstract
Médecins et patients au temps du sida Le cas de Montréal Cet article tente de dévoiler l'argumentation que se tiennent les médecins et leurs patients atteints du sida à Montréal. L'analyse de leur interaction socio-symbolique met au jour des pratiques d'évitement et d'accommodement. Patients comme médecins deviennent des observateurs d'un champ flou où se bricolent des modes de gestion de la souffrance et du mourir, des modèles d'expérimentation de nouveaux médicaments, des discours moraux et éthiques, des interrogations sur le pouvoir médical et les acteurs en situation. La relation thérapeutique semble ainsi surchargée d'interprétations sur la maladie comme désordre dans les corps et dans l'ordre social, sur les coûts pour le système de santé, les rôles tenus dans l'espace médical, le sens et la signification de la vie.
