Abstract
Un des facteurs importants de la promotion de l’engagement paternel est la capacité des organismes et de leurs intervenants à rejoindre les pères et à leur offrir des activités, services, ressources ou programmes. Une enquête réalisée en 2003 auprès de plus de 1 000 organismes canadiens permet de décrire l’intensité des interventions offertes aux pères, les obstacles et les résultats perçus. Elle permet aussi de décrire l’évolution de ces pratiques, un échantillon de répondants ayant complété une enquête similaire quatre années auparavant. Bien que nous constations une offre de services destinés aux pères plus importante, plusieurs obstacles demeurent pour que ceux-ci soient davantage accessibles. Par ailleurs, la comparaison dans le temps révèle que la pérennité de services aux pères diminue certaines des difficultés et surtout, permet de rejoindre davantage les pères en difficulté.
