Abstract
Cet article propose de déplacer le point d’équilibre de la réflexion sur la disparition en n’en faisant plus l’objet du corps mais de l’esprit. Il prend la forme d’une brève, d’une très brève histoire des idées au XXe siècle qui retrace, de la disparition élocutoire du poète chez Mallarmé à celle de l’écart entre les mots et les choses chez Virilio et Baudrillard, deux figures du mouvement qui, dans leur opposition, déterminent actuellement les pôles philosophique et technologique de la construction dynamique du sens. Qu’est-ce qui provoque le charme de la chorégraphie des signes? Qu’est-ce qui ravit l’écart entre deux termes? La synthèse ou le « suspens »? Cette brève histoire qui noue la question de la disparition à celle du mouvement tâchera dès lors de révéler la naissance de cette alternative et de l’emmener jusqu’à son expression contemporaine, au coeur de ce que l’on appelle l’intermédialité.
