Abstract
On note, au sein du Front national (FN) de Jean-Marie Le Pen, la coexistence de plusieurs courants politiques, ce qui donne au parti une image d’éclectisme idéologique. Or, cela fait que l’on a parfois tendance à négliger les idées avancées par le FN. À l’encontre de cette tendance, il s’agit d’examiner les idées du FN pour voir comment on parvient, sur le plan doctrinal, à faire cohabiter différentes tendances. L’analyse montre, dans un premier temps, que le discours du FN s’abreuve aux sources du traditionalisme politique pour, dans un second temps, insister sur sa dimension populiste. En somme, l’efficacité du FN sur le marché politique s’explique, en partie, par le mariage du traditionalisme et du populisme.
