Résumé Ce rapport présente les résultats de l’analyse de la mise en œuvre d’une initiative à grande échelle ayant pour but de réduire l’impact des inégalités sociales sur la réussite et sur la qualification des élèves d’écoles secondaires en milieu défavorisé. Cette analyse, portant sur le rôle des commissions scolaires (CS) dans la mise en œuvre de la stratégie, visait à 1) documenter la manière dont les répondants perçoivent leurs rôles et responsabilités et 2) amorcer l’étude des facteurs qui facilitent ou entravent la mise en œuvre. Les résultats montrent que les CS, censées être les « maîtres d’œuvre » de la stratégie, ne sont pas toujours en mesure d’assumer ce rôle. Le soutien offert aux écoles consiste encore beaucoup à la diffusion d’informations et les changements observés touchent encore très peu les pratiques pédagogiques des enseignants. La discussion se concentre sur les facteurs qui expliquent ces résultats.
