Abstract
La littérarité des dialogues platoniciens est rarement l'objet d'une investigation propre. Cette étude se concentre sur deux aspects de cette littérarité : le mode narratif du récit et l'instance narrative. Au livre III de la République , Socrate esquisse une typologie des modes narratifs qui est ici examinée. Cet examen a pour but de montrer comment cette typologie jointe à une typologie du narrateur établie sur la base d'une analyse des narrateurs dans les dialogues peut être appliquée à l'ensemble des dialogues. L'aspect modal d'un dialogue est cependant complexe, car un dialogue présente rarement un seul mode narratif. L'enchâssement de récits conduit parfois Platon, mais pas toujours, à recourir à plusieurs modes. C'est à la lumière de cette double typologie qu'une classification des dialogues fondée sur instances et modes narratifs est proposée.
