Abstract
Dans l’histoire de la pensée économique Jean-Baptiste Say présente cette particularité d’avoir été à la fois un théoricien et un praticien de l’entreprise. Et de surcroît, dans les dernières années de sa vie, d’avoir enseigné l’esprit d’entreprise. Il existe donc chez lui, à côté d’une théorie de la production et des échanges, une théorie moderne de l’entreprise qui le place à l’avant-garde des économistes qui ont mis l’entrepreneur au centre de leurs réflexions. Cet article présente deux visages de Jean-Baptiste Say : Jean-Baptiste Say, « entrepreneur » et Jean-Baptiste Say, « théoricien de l’entrepreneur ». Codes JEL : B12, B13, L26
