At the 9th Annual Advanced Network Workshop (AWN)-- held 20 to 23 October 2003 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada--two of that nation's leading proponents of Internet advancement, Canada's advanced Internet development organization Canarie and the Reseau d'informations scientifiques du Quebec (RISQ), joined forces to cohost this conference exploring the next generation of Internet connectivity.
