Abstract
Au Québec, environ 25 % des jeunes participants aux divers programmes d’aide à l’insertion n’arrivent pas à mettre de l’avant un projet professionnel et à s’insérer de manière stable sur le marché du travail, même après avoir complété plusieurs stages. À partir des résultats d’une recherche qualitative menée auprès des jeunes stagiaires à La Réplique, organisme d’aide à l’insertion qui a choisi de cibler dans le cadre de son programme d’intervention cette catégorie particulière de jeunes « désengagés », l’article vise à circonscrire leurs caractéristiques et à avancer quelques hypothèses d’explication de l’inefficacité relative des programmes d’aide à l’insertion mis en place à cette fin.
