Abstract
L’auteur étudie, à partir de données quantitatives que fournissent cinq enquêtes effectuées au cours de la période 1950-1980, les transformations morphologiques qu’a connues la population estudiantine de l’Université de Montréal ces trente dernières années. Les variables retenues sont : les effectifs (temps plein, temps partiel), l’origine sociale, le statut civil, le sexe et l’âge. Il est fait état de comparaisons sous chacune de ces variables, en partant de ces enquêtes, et de comparaisons avec les données que fournissent d’autres recherches ou enquêtes. Les changements morphologiques mis en évidence par ces comparaisons sont discutés puis rapportés au contexte d’évolution du système d’éducation d’ensemble.
