Abstract
Alors qu’aux États-Unis le nombre d’employés âgés s’est accru dans le secteur des magasins à grande surface, le phénomène du recrutement, de l’intégration et du maintien en emploi du personnel plus âgé commence à s’observer en France, où les entreprises cherchent à satisfaire à des exigences légales, mais aussi à se bâtir une image d’employeur de choix et à améliorer la qualité des services et la fidélisation des clients. S’appuyant sur une revue de la documentation et sur nos études de cas, cet article propose une synthèse des atouts liés à une intégration plus poussée des travailleurs âgés dans le secteur de la distribution et des obstacles à surmonter pour faciliter cette intégration.
