Abstract
Nous nous proposons dans cet article d’aborder le cas de la métaphore terminologique à la lumière des plus récentes études cognitives mettant en valeur la nature et le fonctionnement de celle-ci. De façon plus proactive, il s’agira d’analyser si l’examen de la métaphore terminologique au moyen de méthodes développées en sciences cognitives nous dévoile un outil paradigmatique qui oriente et construit la pensée. Dans cette approche, nous constaterons que la métaphore terminologique n’est pas uniquement une question de langage, mais concerne aussi la structuration conceptuelle. Pour expliquer en quoi consiste ce type de métaphore nous nous plongerons dans le domaine d’application de la cardiologie.
