Abstract
La protection de la jeunesse est une sous-discipline du droit de la famille qui est peu étudiée par les milieux universitaires du monde juridique. Cependant, une analyse des objectifs de la Loi sur la protection de la jeunesse du Québec montre que les fondements cliniques de la Loi se heurtent souvent au fonctionnement rigide du milieu juridique. Par le biais d’une perspective relationnelle qui explique la nouvelle orientation prise par la Loi depuis les modifications de 2006, l’auteure cherche à montrer que plusieurs caractéristiques du système contradictoire ne sont pas cohérentes avec la nouvelle conception de l’enfant et de l’individu véhiculée par la Loi.
