Abstract
Résumé Comment le sport proposé à des employés peut-il pallier les problèmes croissants de santé mentale au travail? Cet article vise à répondre à cette question en résumant les nombreux bienfaits de la pratique sportive pour les employés et les employeurs. Ensuite, nous présentons la panoplie des outils et des approches que les employeurs peuvent adopter pour promouvoir la pratique sportive selon deux continuums : un continuum allant des pratiques dans le milieu de travail à celles exécutées à l’extérieur du milieu de travail, et un autre continuum allant des pratiques de gestion communiquant ou symbolisant l’attrait de la pratique sportive à l’exercice d’activités sportives individuelles ou collectives. S’appuyant sur des exemples tirés de trois grandes entreprises, l’article traite aussi des conditions de succès à respecter et des défis à relever dans l’élaboration et la gestion de programmes destinés à promouvoir le sport au sein des organisations.
