Par la relecture de Claude Mathieu confronté à Borges et à Maurevert se joue le déplacement des significations qui échappent au canon européen et à la recherche de « l'authentique » pour fonder « ludiquement » une productivité de significations des Amériques. C'est donc à travers la mise en scène du plagiat comme impossible que se décontextualisent et recontextualisent les textes qui, dans le contemporain postmoderne/postcolonial des Nouveaux Mondes, ouvrent sur des créativités insoupçonnées.
