Abstract
L’infraction de pédopornographie est depuis déjà quelques années au centre des débats législatifs. L’article 163.1 du Code criminel a été plusieurs fois modifié pour prendre en compte de nouvelles réalités, notamment celles relatives aux nouvelles technologies de l’information et de la communication. Le législateur semble, encore une fois, vouloir intervenir pour s’en prendre, cette fois-ci, directement à celle qui sévit sur le réseau Internet, en présentant quatre projets de loi, tous relatifs à la même chose, la cyberpédopornographie. Cet article a pour objectif d’exposer ces quatre projets de loi actuellement en discussion devant la Chambre des communes. C’est ainsi que ce média, le réseau Internet, est devenu une réelle préoccupation pour le législateur, appuyée par l’opinion publique qui a peur pour la sécurité de leurs enfants sur la toile. Le message du législateur est clair. La lutte contre l’exploitation sexuelle des mineurs en ligne est déclarée.
