Cette étude porte sur l’impact de la fréquentation d’une école ethnoreligieuse au Québec sur l’aptitude au français au sein de groupes d’élèves arméniens, musulmans et juifs de quatrième et cinquième secondaire. Elle s’inscrit en continuité avec la recherche de Sercia (2004) portant sur l’intégration sociale des élèves fréquentant les écoles ethnoreligieuses. La mesure de l’aptitude au français est composée à partir de douze items qui couvrent les attitudes, les comportements, les préférences et les intentions des élèves à l’égard du français. L’analyse des données révèle que ces groupes diffèrent significativement entre eux sur l’une ou l’autre des variables et amène l’auteur à dresser un portrait unique pour chacun des groupes, en tenant compte de leurs réalités respectives.
