Abstract
Wingerchuk et al.1 and Naumann et al.2 have recently described two patients with brain lesions found on MRI resembling ferromagnetic hypointensities that were considered possibly secondary to embolic fragments from mechanical heart valve prostheses. The incidence and clinical outcome of this interesting phenomenon is unknown. We describe a patient with cluster headaches and similar MRI findings.
