Abstract
Cet article s’inscrit dans le débat qui a présentement cours en sociologie quant au développement de l’économie francophone au Québec. S’appuyant sur l’étude de cas d’entreprises typiques, ce développement est envisagé selon trois points tournants qui caractérisent son histoire. Il est avancé que l’économie francophone se présente sous une forme globale d’abord conférée par l’importance de la famille (ou des rapports de parenté) dans la gestion et l’organisation de ces entreprises; puis par des rapports personnels par lesquels la globalité de l’économie prend la forme d’un nationalisme ethnique. L’intervention économique de l’État québécois, par l’entremise de la SGF, a permis enfin la transformation de ces entreprises en fonction d’une économie capitaliste dont la globalité s’affiche par une culture d’entreprise. Cette dernière tend à reconstituer une économie globale en faisant appel à la famille et aux rapports personnels en des termes à ce point artificieux ou instrumentaux qu’est mise en cause l’économie globale.
