Abstract
De façon générale, les enquêtes statistiques disponibles au Québec examinent les conditions de travail indépendamment des caractéristiques des travailleurs aux plans de la santé et des lésions professionnelles. L’Étude québécoise des conditions de travail, d’emploi et de santé et de sécurité du travail (EQCOTESST) vise à corriger cette lacune. La première phase de ce projet d’enquête quinquennale auprès de 5 000 travailleurs est prévue pour 2007. À l’aide de ces données, il sera possible d’analyser les liens existants entre un ensemble de conditions de travail, l’état de santé des travailleurs et les risques d’accidents du travail.
