Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

A theory is presented for the study of surface spin waves in a two-sublattice, uniaxial antiferromagnet when there is an external magnetic field applied perpendicular to the easy axis of the material to induce a canting of the spins. Our theoretical model uses a microscopic canted Heisenberg magnetic Hamiltonian, treated within the RPA (random phase approximation) approach. Numerical results show, from the stability condition, that the convergence to the infinite-bulk canting angle θ can be over several layers (for MnF2) or almost localized in the surface layer (for FeF2 and CoF2). The bulk mode for the uniaxial case (θ=0) becomes split into two well-defined bulk regions in the spectrum for the canted materials. It is found that, between these branches, there is an acoustic surface magnon branch.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
