Abstract
En Belgique et en France, la communication ne passe guère entre les maîtres des cycles primaire et secondaire. Le silence, l’absence d’informations et de contacts entraînent l’insécurité, l’angoisse, l’autocensure et l’amertume chez l’ensemble des maîtres. Les premières victimes de cet état de fait sont évidemment les enfants. La recherche diptyque entreprise ici vise deux objectifs précis : a) informer les deux « espèces » de maîtres : ceux du primaire et ceux du secondaire Cette information se fera en envoyant aux 1930 maîtres les résultats globaux d’une enquête à laquelle ils avaient accepté de répondre. b) informer les maîtres des performances de leurs propres élèves soumis à 5 épreuves portant sur des objectifs cognitifs que tous considéraient comme essentiels. Cette double information entraînera vraisemblablement certaines prises de conscience et, nous l’espérons, un désir de remédier à la situation.
