Abstract
Dans cet article, suite à une analogie entre Proust et Godard concernant la dimension tactile des images et leur rapport au temps, sera proposé un survol analytique de la méthode de composition qui caractérise certaines entreprises filmiques de Jean-Luc Godard à la suite de sa période vidéo : Passion, son Scénario et, pour la plus grande part de notre texte, les Histoire(s) du cinéma. Au cours de cette réflexion sur la corporéité des images, l’accent sera essentiellement mis sur le geste en tant qu’élément génétique rendant possible la création de séries historiques, techniques et fictionnelles. Puis, l’attention se portera vers la question du support, de la pellicule 35 mm jusqu’au numérique, en passant par la télévision et la vidéo. La reprise médiatique d’un art par un autre ne sonne en rien le glas de la valeur auratique (Benjamin) de l’art ancien. La répétition créatrice des images tactiles et du devenir formel des gestes est au contraire ce qui permet de passer des histoires à l’Histoire.
