Nous avons affine la structure de la nikischerite, Na Fe 2 + 6 Al 3 (S0 4 ) 2 (OH)(H 2 0) 1 2 . rhomboedrique, a 9.347(1), c 33.000(7) A, V 2497(3)A 3 , Z = 3, R3, jusqu'a un residu R de 6.4% en utilisant 444 reflexions observees, mesurees avec rayonnement MoKα. La structure est faite de feuillets planaires d'octaedres [AlFe 2 + (OH) 6 ] intercales avec des octaedres (Na{H 2 0} 6 ); des tetraedres (S0 4 ) et des groupes (H 2 0), toutes ces unites etant liees par liaisons hydrogene. La nikischerite possede la meme structure que la shigaite. Na Mn 2 + 6 , A1 3 (S0 4 ) 2 (OH) 1 8 (H 2 0) 1 2 , et la motukoreaite, dont la formule ideale est Na Mg 6 Al 3 (S0 4 ) 2 (OH) 1 8 (H 2 O) 1 2 .
