The CCP is a partnership of several major energy companies supporting advancement of technologies toward deployment of industrial scale CO2 capture and storage. The paper describes the technology development projects in the field of CO2 capture supported by the CCP during current phase III (CCP3, 2009-2013). Development work has focused on applications in three critical areas for the oil and gas industry: refining operations, steam production for heavy oil extraction, and natural gas -fired power generation.
