Abstract
Dans cet article, je discute le cas de certains autochtones andins déplacés dans les périphéries urbaines de Lima (Pérou) qui ont réagi à la violence politico-militaire et à la crise socio-économique des années 1980-1990 en se tournant vers le mouvement messianique millénariste de l’ Asociación Evangélica de la Misión Israelita del Nuevo Pacto Universal . J’explore les stratégies d’adaptation, de recomposition sociale et d’insertion économique en milieu urbain développées par cette association religieuse de migrants. L’argument principal tend à démontrer que la conversion à l’ Asociación Israelita s’explique à partir d’un arrière-fond de marginalité et d’exclusion, et plus spécifiquement en fonction des conditions et possibilités d’accès à certaines ressources socio-économiques primaires en région urbaine.
