Abstract
L’auteure propose d’explorer les traces d’une forme ordinaire de cinéphilie, celle des spectatrices qui forment les deux tiers du courrier des lecteurs de l’hebdomadaire français Cinémonde (1928-1966). La période choisie (1959-1960), moment d’émergence de la Nouvelle Vague, suscite parmi les (jeunes) correspondantes régulières de ce magazine populaire une intensification des commentaires et des échanges. Bien que citées partiellement, ces lettres évaluent le plus souvent la performance des acteurs pour commenter la « leçon de vie » que propose le film et les aspects innovants de la mise en scène, articulant approches éthique et esthétique.
