Abstract
Résumé THE YOUNG ADULTS RETURN MIGRANTS : AN ENERGY FOR REGIONS Dynamisme, créativité, implication, voici plusieurs qualités qui sont régulièrement mises de l’avant par les organisations vouées au développement. Des jeunes migrants semblent détenir plusieurs de ces qualités, particulièrement ceux qui reviennent dans leur milieu d’origine. Ces qualités sont ressorties en comparant les migrants de retour avec les individus qui ne sont jamais partis de leur région. Cette comparaison s’est faite sur la base des projets qu’ils ont réalisés, de leur implication dans leur milieu et de leur intérêt face à leur environnement de vie. La recherche réalisée au Québec montre que les migrants de retour, dans les régions les plus éloignées des grands centres urbains, se sont révélés des acteurs importants dans leur milieu de vie et, de ce fait même, peuvent contribuer au développement de leur collectivité et de leur région .
