Abstract
Le scénario de moyen métrage Le Concert écrit par Jacques Savoie pour l’ONF de Moncton entre 1983 et 1984 est fascinant pour la relation complexe qu’il entretient avec le roman Les Portes tournantes (1984), dont il constitue en quelque sorte une première version. Cet article s’intéresse au passage qui a lieu, d’un texte à l’autre, entre le personnage d’Alexandre Doyle et celui de Papa John Devil. Le relais des personnages synthétise en effet d’importants changements dans l’écriture et permet d’aborder les questions de l’exil et de l’aliénation, mais également de mieux comprendre une référence filmique importante du scénario et du roman : celle du film The Jazz Singer.
